The European childcare platform Yoopies acquires the French start-up Yokoro in order to expand its activity towards new homecare services. With Yokoro user base, Yoopies has now more than 370,000 caregivers in Europe.
Yoopies has announced the acquisition of Yokoro, an online homecare platform based in Paris and founded in 2009, by Joan Larroumec and Edouard Saint-Geours, former students of the French Management school HEC.
Successful and innovative European start-up, Yoopies aim is to help parents to find quality childcare safely and efficiently. Headquartered in Paris, Yoopies is growing 300% yearly since its launch in January 2012 across five countries in Europe (France, Spain, Italy and Switzerland), creating an entirely new trustworthy childcare platform.
Yoopies intends to strengthen its presence in the global homecare market by offering new care services such as housekeeping or petcare. “Yokoro is a well installed brand in the French market and has a great operation in place, including a wide expertise in the full range of homecare services”, said Benjamin Suchar, co-founder and CEO of Yoopies.
