Hello! My name is Ruth Nyambura Mungai, I’m 28 years old, and I have around five years of experience caring for children of different ages, from babies and toddlers to older children. I genuinely enjoy being around children and I love creating a safe, happy, and comfortable environment where they can be themselves, learn, play, and feel cared for. Over the years, I have learned that every child is unique, with their own personality, needs, routines, and way of communicating. I’m patient and attentive, and I always take the time to understand each child rather than treating every child the same. I’m comfortable with everyday childcare responsibilities such as preparing meals and snacks, feeding, helping with bath and bedtime routines, changing and caring for babies, helping with homework, reading stories, playing games, doing creative activities, and keeping children entertained. I also enjoy taking children outside for walks, playground visits, or other age-appropriate activities when parents are comfortable with it. Safety is always my first priority. I understand that choosing someone to look after your children requires a lot of trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m dependable, responsible, calm, and respectful of parents' rules and routines. I’m also happy to communicate with parents and keep them updated so they can enjoy their time away knowing that their children are being well cared for. What I love most about childcare is the little things — hearing a child tell me an exciting story, helping them discover something new, making them laugh, reading bedtime stories, or simply being there when they need comfort. I believe children deserve to feel listened to, respected, encouraged, and loved. I’m currently looking for occasional babysitting opportunities on weekends and would be happy to help families who need a hand
